THE INVESTMENT

Investing in the future of food production

Tony Denny’s investment in RLF AgTech brings together his long-standing interest in agriculture with a belief in the power of technology to improve productivity, support healthier soils and help meet the growing global demand for food.

A PERSONAL CONNECTION TO AGRICULTURE

More than an investment

Tony Denny’s investment in RLF AgTech brings together two areas that have increasingly shaped his interests: backing innovative businesses and a long-standing connection to horticulture and agriculture.

As a qualified horticulturist, Tony recognised that increasing global food production would require more than simply increasing traditional agricultural inputs. Improving the efficiency of crop nutrition, supporting healthier soils and helping farmers achieve greater productivity from the resources available would become increasingly important.

I’ve always believed agriculture is one of the most important industries in the world. Expanding food production will be critical in the decades ahead and technology will play a significant role in making that happen.”

WHY RLF AGTECH

Technology with a practical purpose

What attracted Tony to RLF AgTech was its focus on applying Australian-developed technology to practical agricultural challenges.

RLF’s crop nutrition technology is designed to improve nutrient uptake and crop performance while supporting soil health. For Tony, the opportunity extends beyond individual products. It is the potential for technology to help farmers increase productivity while reducing reliance on conventional bulk fertiliser applications that makes the proposition particularly relevant to the future of agriculture.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Growing more, with less

The challenge facing agriculture is long-term. A growing global population places increasing demands on food production, while farmers must simultaneously manage the cost and availability of fertiliser, water, soil health and changing environmental conditions.

Tony’s investment in RLF AgTech reflects a belief that technology will play an important role in addressing these changes - helping agriculture become more productive and efficient without simply relying on greater volumes of traditional inputs.

BACKING AUSTRALIAN INNOVATION

Australian technology with global potential

RLF AgTech represents a move into an industry very different from the automotive, property and finance businesses that have defined much of Tony’s career. The investment philosophy, however, remains the same: identify a significant real-world problem and back innovation with the potential to address it at scale.

For Tony, RLF represents an opportunity to support Australian-developed agricultural technology while contributing to the evolution of an industry fundamental to the global economy.
